Dear APLB Member,
I hope you had a good Fourth of July respite from everything, and your summer is starting off well.
We are pleased to announce the start of a fifth chatroom. This one will have a special focus, however. It is designed especially for animal care professionals
of all kinds. There is a great deal of burnout and “compassion fatigue” suffered by these good people, and we are now geared up to assist them.
At first, this special chatroom will be open for two hours – the first and third Tuesday of every month, starting at 7:PM (Eastern) Please note that this
is an hour earlier than our four pet bereavement chatrooms. We hope to eventually make this every Tuesday, and for a full three hours.
Please tell others about this, as we need to start getting the word out. Your vet and his/her staff would appreciate learning about this. Nowhere else
has this been done, and we are all proud that the APLB (as usual) is creating new inroads into helping anyone who is hurting because of the death of beloved
animals. Wildlife rehabilitators, sanctuary personnel as well as zoo personnel can also benefit from this new venue we are creating.
The first session will be on Tuesday, July 19.
Warmly,
Dr. Wallace Sife
Pres., APLB
